Default Fixing Carbon Fiber?

Is it possible to fix a cracked carbon fiber hood??

Yes, most of the times it can be fixed. The unfortunate thing is that to get a good job done it will cost you. Sure you could let some try and slap some resin on it or clear over the cracks, but it will look even worse when they get done with it.
Working with this stuff takes a lot of skill,a nd to get good craftsmanship you have to pay for it. With hoods being relatively cheap now days you may just be better off buying a new one. If you can post up some pics i can give you a relative odea on the ballpark you are looking at to get a good repair job done.


If you remember only one thing out of this thread remember nowhere does this saying hold more true.....You get what you pay for.

sorry dont have pics,but i know a kid selling one really cheap,downside is that it has a "six inch" crack by the hood scoop on the srt-4...thanks for the info guys...

Steve-that was one of my ideas...

what would be a ballpark figure to have this repaired?

dose steve work on carbon fiber alot ? if so i need to get my hood re cleard how much would that be ?
