It depends on how baked on it is.... if it chips when you pick at it...you may need to use some laquer thinner and a push razor to get it off. They make special blades that wont scratch the glass.

You could take it to a tint shop...sometimes they will do it if they are cool and have time to.

I've use a razorblade scraper numerous times on glass. Never scratches. Just make sure that the surface and blade are clean, not rusty, and aren't knicked.

Back in high school for 2 summers my job was installing window film on cars, buildings, etc.

Use a brand new razor blade, any old or knicked one will scratch the window more than get the decal off, and soapy water. If its really stuck on there use a heat gun and plastic scrapers.

wow.

interesting thread.

use a fresh razorblade. no solution required. no soap. no water. a new blade will not scratch the glass.

none taken, but I'm going to guess you have never used it on your paint to remove tar. Its not ENAMEL thinner, I have used it numerous times on my truck. A rag with a small amount of lacquer thinner is safe, just spray some detailer wipe on it afterward.
I do keep her waxed though, that may help some. I have used it on friends cars when touching up paint chips, to wipe off any excess from the brush stroke.

d33flat - You may have a ghost image on your tint strip if you have one. I know my last truck did. The banner keeps the sun off the tint thats under it, so it fades uneven....you may want to opt for a new tint strip too.
