Yeah. First run was 11.38 at lower boost, then the 11.12.. then it ran an 11.248 on a 1.724 but the track had gotten slippery. Should of popped into the 10's.. ohh well.

Now the decision.. turn it down or put a cage on a 30K mile rare car???

"Wade said.. we've been letting you do this for a while, dont come back until you have proper safety equipment"

I'm more scared of an accident on the street with a cage in the car.. those tubes are not non-helmet friendly.

Decision time...

Or start going to Sunshine..

Personally wouldn't do it if you're using the car as your DD anyways nice times everyone.

I went 9.17 @ 145, I was pretty happy with it. I got some more left in it.

The vette is not a kit car, its an origional body and everything, but with a tube chassis. The car runs 8.40's @ 158-159 N/A.

They are both street legal btw

Don't laugh this is my first time running the 1/4 and my car is slow but I got:

.389 R/T
2.324 60'
6.454 330
9.785 1/8 @ 73.81 mph
12.667 1000
15.064 1/4 @ 92.63 mph

LOL my car is pretty slow in a straight line but atleast great handling in turns. My friend with a 96 M3 ran a 13.898 which was pretty good. ALso my clutch was slipping like a bitch. I got a lot of video of other ppls cars, I will try and edit it and put it up sometime soon.

with a little more practice launching your car can go mid 14's easy.

well first, your head should be no where near the roll bar points. if you are talking cage (10 pt +) then ok. i gotcha.

also, NHRA requires padding on all the bars for this exact reason. why not put padding on the bars if you feel uncomfortable with this idea?
