REAL Saturn sky pics!
Saturn's version of the Pontiac Solstice, the Sky exhibits the new face of Saturn, which will add a mid-size sedan and a large crossover sport-utility to its lineup over the next two years. Aimed at the Mazda Miata in price with dimensions close to the pricier and slightly bigger Honda S2000, the sub-$25,000 Sky gets a 170-hp, 2.4-liter Ecotec four mated to manual or automatic five-speed transmissions and near 50/50 weight distribution. The Sky comes in early 2006, and we expect a Red Line version to follow. We're wondering what sister division Pontiac thinks of the supposed budget-brand Saturn becoming more performance-oriented

The ION redline is a boosted ecotec (2.0l version). The 2.2L is the one that Kubo and Hoyo's are piloting to record numbers this past season but next season is a little bleak with Kubo not running the saturn nor will it be running.
At any rate, this is the shot in the arm that Saturn needs. Most of the styling is bland and performance is lacking. Unfortunately, the loss of the polymer panels sucks and the rebadging is already old but at least Lutz has committment to this line up.

i can see slight body line similarities with that cadillac roadster thing i dont know the name though. is it built on the same platform?
It is going to be RWD correct??? I think that 170hp Ecotec would be nice in stock form, as long as they keep the weight down.
I really like that car.
