Yes they are both V-8 RWD cars, one made in the U.S., the other in Australia, but the sheer fact that the Stang comes out on top despite a 100 hp, and $10K handicap, you gotta give a salute to the engineers at Ford.

I have the actual article and I have to say that this was a close comparo. Just 1 point separated them at the end (Stang 211/235, GTO 210/235). That includes a 10 point value category, which the Stang took 10 to 8. Both are nice cars, but I vote GTO simply because the new Mustang just doesnt do much for me.

Wow...pretty good stats on the 05 Goat. Im surprised. 107 mph in the 1/4 mile...4 mph faster than the GT.
The new LS2 6 liter and the subtle details on the outside...ill have to say Goat.....in the 6 speed.
Its bolt ons away from 12s.

I'd take the GTO for the nicer interior and IMO superior motor. I agree that the stang has more 'cool' factor and looks nicer, but it doesn't weigh as heavily with me. I wish the GTO had a more agressive front facia.
