Mk4's are very nice cars. Awesome, sexy exterior stock, look absolutely great with just a nice set of wheels. 400 whp with bolt ons. Distinctive exhaust note. Good GT car. I've driven a bpu auto with about 370 at the wheels, the car handles great on stock suspension, brakes are pretty good considering the weight of the car. Straight line acceleration even on a bpu car is very good, you hit the gas and before you know it you're over 100 mph. Much nicer and more civilized car than most modified cars on the road.

 

Braking supposedly was some kind of record... ive even seen some number crazy people say the car had held a 60-0 braking record for some time with a few magazines that had tested it in 93... ill tell you something, 145-0 foot to the floor 3 times in a row and no fade, all this on stock rotors and pads isnt anything Im going to complain about...

ya, you're right...Larry from sound performance runs mid 8's in his street driven automatic...and Dana from Virtual Works, runs in the mid/high 8's...also a street driven automatic...its amazing what happens when you get a properly set up automatic, in a car that actually has power
