NICE! Thats a MUCH nicer intake manifold. Let us know if it sounds different/better if you ever get your car working again

I think it is...correct me if I'm wrong, but does it say "Porsche" in their text across the top? Again, not trying to flame or make myself sound superior..dont take this post the wrong way

LOL, so many posts and drama since I last visited.

To answer the various questions in order . . .

Yes, in addition to the stock magnesium intake plenum there are 6 phenolic injector blocks. In addtion to insulating the manifold from the head heat they also allow for some distortion since there is almost 3' of hot aluminum engine that expands under the reliatively cool manifold. Except for being very light it sucks in the flow and port size department.

As far as clearance goes, you can see that the new manifold is a bit taller but since I am replacing my mechanical fuel injection with EFI I will gain a lot of room that was formerly occupied by the fuel distributor and its associated plumbing I will post some more pics to demonstrate the changes.

As far as to if it is a factory part, or from a newer 930, yes and no. This is a carrera manifold, and a carrera is nothing more than a hi-po NA 911. As you can see the non turbo's made their power via the use of good plumbing.

To Tom's and other people's comments, yes the 930 is going to be a monster when it gets done.

I am hoping for HP and TQ numbers in the mid 500s on conservative tuning.

I need about $4K to wrap this up so its mostly a matter of money at this point.

Working at engine lab and getting friendly with dave white has worked wonders for my project though.

Here is what the stock manifold, airbox and injection system looks like when the intercooler is removed.
