i'm looking to buy a 3/8th ratchet and a few other misc tools...

and i'm tired of using shitty craftsman ratchets.

well i've owned 3 or 4 craftsman 3/8 drive ratchet's and they've all been pieces of shit.

i think those who like craftsman have never used a snap-on or mac tool...because the difference in quality is obvious.

I have been a mechanic for 16 years. For most of your general tools Craftsmen is just fine. But as Chet is finding out...certain items are worth thier weight in gold. Snap on ratchets are my absolute favorite. I also have a very specific MAC 1/4 drive ratchet I use as well. But for the most part...Snap on Ratchets all the way.

I still keep my cheap Craftsmen ratchets though. I have one I use that works well specifically for LS1 plug changes.
