"Electric Lithium-Ion battery Car, it boasts a neck-snapping 0-100kmh time of just four seconds and a 0-160kmh time of seven seconds, which means the Eliica accelerates faster than a Porsche 911 Turbo."

Im still confused as to why we give a shit about electric cars, they're obviously not a feasible option with long recharge times as the only option for "re-fueling" as it were. Hydro-electric cars are where it's at and they're going to be what saves our asses in the long run. Granted, it's good to explore options and imperative to find alternative sources of fuel but I just can't see raw electricity being efficient enough to be realistic.
Imagine that you're driving down a long stretch of highway on a trip to say Wisconsin in one of these electric cars, now what if you look down and notice that you're low on power. What are you going to do if you can't immediately find a place to re-charge for 10 hours? That's just too much downtime.

Ugly as all fuck, I'd still hit it.

Put a tiny turbine generator in it to keep the batteries topped off and you have one kick ass hybrid.
Piston to wheel driven vehicles are going to go the way of the horse and buggy as hybrid technology progresses.
Imagine being able to beat most sportcars and getting 60 MPG.
I am amused to see the quote comparing this thing to the 911 turbo.
