~Must See~Eisele's SUCKS
We took are 327 street motor to Eisele"s machine service 9220 E. Broadway Tampa, FL. They did all machine work and assembled the motor from intake to oil pan. $2016.55. All we had to do is prime the oil pump 3 times to 80 psi and install carb. Before the cam could break in the motor was knocking. Oil is leaking out of the block. Possible someone left cam bearing plugs loose. We took it back to them just to tell us where oil was coming from. They wouldn't even look at it. As they were listening to the knocking motor it came apart, in his face. his excuse was I must of have adjusted the valves too tight. The motor had less than 10 minutes on it when it happened. And it wasnt his fault. We would of settled for apology. If they would of just looked at it. This man spen thousands, building this truck around this motor and over a year of his time. We are not asking you to do anything just REMEMBER THIS TALE NEXT TIME YOU CHOOSE A MACHINE SHOP!
And this is how they treated us after we have been doing bussiness with them for 10 years!

They over bored a freind of mine's block. Never bothered to tell us about it. I usually just go to engine lab now. But ive been hearing some FU on them to. SOOOOO where the fuck to I go? O well. Ive been learning that alot of the bigger places dont care anymore and alot of the smaller non repeutable places are the better ones.
On my ls/vtec (2-3 years ago), Eiseley did the work (can't remember the street name....but it was off on the 1-4 area (exit 3). They knew about ls/vtec back then and charged only $30 to tap the head and bore out the holes for the dowel pins. I was surprised the lady knew exactly what I was talking about when I called for a price quote. I was very happy about their work. Perfect compression after 12k miles when I sold the car. I remember them telling me that Colin drops off things to get machined there all the time.
I'm going to do a new build now, but I'm not sure where to go. Heard a lot of good things about Engine Lab but then some crap is also surfacing. Dwans used to be recommended alot but haven't heard about them lately. Eiseley's prices were awesome, haven't checked on current prices though.

Good machine work is only as good as the guy assembling the engine. Check, double check and triple check all the clearances. Don't take anything for granted.
