Depending on his HP goal yes/no. I assume it's a low boost application. He could buy a full standalone, cam gears or an MSD BTM.

im not sure what i should aim for ive heard of people gettign around 225-250 so some were around there will be nice and my boost will be at 7-8 pounds

i think youll need to adjust timing, even if its 225 thats 100 hp to the wheels your adding..and im pretty sure cam gears adjust the timing.

+1 Julian go to Dave definitely,but first figure out how much hp you want and make sure it is safe,after that Dave will have no problem getting it there....What kind of boost controller are you gonna use?

i have an HKS EVC EZ but i think im going to sell it the spring is a 7 pound srping i think

You cant adjust timing with an SAFC. Also, cam timing isnt what makes a difference, its ignition timing.... Two totally different things, and the timing really wont do much in a low boost app. such as this one.... Just get a set of 450s, an AFC, and ditch the FMU... There is no need for an FMU if you are running the AFC with properly sized injectors.....

on my car theres a need for every 1 that dosent use a fmu there car blows up.... its a sfmu so you can tune with that i have a set of 390s right now dave "The Brothers" was saying to just put 450s in it but ive heard on my car 390s is the biggest my car can get on it
