Default Floor Cleaner for the garage...

What is the best stuff to use on the garage floor? Do they make anything that doesn't need a water hose to wash it off afterwards? I don't have access to a spikit at all. But I do have a brush and a bucket. Any ideas what to use?

you will only want to use (mild -> heavily) it if you plan on sealing the garage floor. but you can get it at local hardware stores.

Don't get it at a hardware store. They'll charge you out the ass for it.

Go to a pool supply store. It'll cost you like 2-3 bucks for a gallon.

DO NOT use it straight. Dillute it with water before putting it on your concrete.

It actually eats the surface of the cement off and leaves it very rough. It will also be very dusty aftarward, so you only want to do this if you're going to paint the floor. This process is called etching. It doesn't do too well at removing grease. For that, I'd recommend a good degreaser and a wire brush. (Simple green actually works pretty well)

I know better too, BUT.. when I was prepping my garage floor for epoxy paint, that didn't stop me from getting impatient waiting for the diluted mixture to work and make it stronger to speed things up. Famous last words: "I'll be careful.. " Getting it done faster was NOT worth it. That shit fucked me up.

OH, ALSO... Make sure you have good ventilation.
