Default such thing as Insurance on stereo and car parts?

If my car got totaled for example the money i would receive would not nearly compansate for the money i put into it. Is there such thing as insurance on interior and exterior parts, as well as systems? rims? etc.

Some insurance companies, such as Kemper, had aftermarket coverage written into their policy. USAA is supposedly the same way. As everyone else said, call your insurance company or read through your entire policy.

If it isn't automatically written into the policy, you'll need to purchase supplemental aftermarket coverage. Even with this, many still limit you to how much stereo equipment can be replaced (i.e. $1000 cap on stereo equipment). Best thing to do is call and ask.

I paid an extra 2K per year to cover the 15K or so of parts on my old 300ZX... When the car was broken into.. USAA left in in the dust to make a long story short.. my total payout was 2250...

Yes at Progressive it's called (ACPE) addtional parts and equipment. You also have stated amount for the car's total value. Call you Ins co or Agent and have them explain it.
