I mean at least I can hear it blow off and feel the lag, so I know its turbo'd and I know what to expect

i have an apex n1 and like it very much, silencer in: its quiet and torquey, silencer out: it rips to 8500 rpms and is quit loud. I dont street race so its a good combo for me. It replaced a tanabe racing medallion that decided to break in two pieces.

My favorite exhaust on a Honda is a stock exhaust .

BTW, Naturally aspirated four cylinder engines are a waste of time. If you like a challenge and want to build an NA car, buy an LS1 f-body or something similar with enough displacement to make it worth your time and effort.

the rs*r is very quiet. just a notch over stock, except under full throttle.
pretty much every small bodied muffler is going to sound tinny, and angry bee like on a honda. ( n1, racing meddalion)
and most normal sized cans will be quiet, and slightly deep.
i prefer the quiet ones for a honda... check into a hyper medallion, rs*r ex mag, greddy sp, or hks sport.
i think the evo sits too low, and is biger than needed. in my opinion anyway.
