yo, ive been here before, but i changed my name and shit. anyways, i have a question which i think i know the answer to, but i want to know what everyone else thinks.

i have a '04 SRT-4 w\ just a bov. this guy w\ a new '04 s2k w\ an AEM intake is confident he can beat me and is even willing to wager serious cash on this. now, i'm wondering, should i do this race or am i wasting my time? the older s2k's were no match from a roll and even from a dig i didnt have much to worry about. this guy is confident as hell that i wont even stand a chance (either he must think my car is slow or that i am shitty driver, which im far from. this is going to be a straight line race, so all i got to worry about is haulin ass. should i do this or are the newer s2k's something to stay away from?

any feedback would be great

If you were beating them before, you should still beat them now.. The extra torque dosent make up for the advantage in gearing that the old s2k's had for revving to 9K

 

maybe hes spraying or something

 

if hes that confident to put alot of money i wouldnt do it just because who knows what trick is up his sleeve. but i would think the skittle would win

nah, thats the thing. he works at honda dealership, and i can look over every inch of his car. i have not looked at it yet, but im guessing he doesnt know what the srt-4 really is. his friend w\ BONE STOCK CIVIC SI(the new one) was willing to race me. im thinking these people up here in st. augustine just arent the brightest people, heh. the guy w\ the s2k was working a deal, so i didnt talk to him directly(this whole thing is a long story), but when i was talkn to the guy w\ the civic, he asked me if my car was turbo because he "noticed the intercooler". so, if this thing is stock, aside from the intake, should i throw down?

Just add in a WGA and dump your exhaust you will be fine =)
