**Have a question PLZ Help**
1999 and up Mustang GT V.S. 1998 and up VW Beetle.
Hello everyone this question was for my girlfriend she really likes both and is in a situation where these cars fit the price range nicely. ($8500 Max) So she has a few questions that i thought you guys could help with because i know nothing about these two cars.
1.) What is considered "Low Mileage" For a Mustang? (Has had a lot of problems with Ford in the past I.E. Aspire, Taurus, F150, Winstar, Focus)
2.) What are the pros and cons to both cars? (She is not looking for the fastest she is just looking for something reliable and cost effective.)
3.) Any personal experience with either one?
4.) Any common problems with both cars that we should know about?
5.) And basically at the end of the day if you were picking one or the other which one would you go with and why?
So to sum this up... Let me know your personal opinions and hopefully i will gain some knowledge about these two cars and will be able to pass this on to her... thank you

Gt's dont come with v6 motors, and 99+ isnt 'oldschool'.
Depends on what she wants... the GT might cost a bit more for insurance, and will suck down gas a bit faster. However, t'll be quicker, and I think, personally, the better choice of the 2. Just find one with less than 50k miles if possible, or one in great shapt under 70k.

4.6s are tried and true motors and do last a long a time. Both reliable cars for the most part. But the mustang will be the cheapest and easiest to work over the Beetle. And yea good luck on finding a 99+ GT for that littlel. You can go abother year back or so and get a GT for that price then.
I would say go with the VW, cheaper insurance and gas. The money you would spend buying gas and paying your monthly insurance on the mustang could be saved up for when the VW breaks down. Thats asuming she keeps the car for that long, which i highly doubt...
