I like it, but I think it would look much cleaner if it didn't have that black painted portion between the upper and lower grills. I also like the fact that the Golf is finally getting an independent rear suspension.

 

 

To me that is the best part.

 

Audi/VW sometimes underates their cars weather it be hp or 0-60. VW rated the current GTI in the mid seven second 0-60 while car & driver did it in 6.5 (big difference IMO). But the 0-60 isn't the the part i like about the new GTI. It's the DSG, if anyone doesn't know what it is ill go ahead and explain. It's a seqential manual gearbox that uses two seperate clutches (as you read above). How it works is while one clutch is holding the current gear, the next gear is pre-selected into the second clutch. As soon as you hit the shift paddle the current gear disengages with the one cluth while at the same time the second cluth is engaging then next gear. This almost completly reduces shift time, as of right now the Audi TT uses this system and it takes .2 seconds (from what audi says) per shift. So to me, it would be pretty damn cool to have a seqential paddle shift gearbox in an sport compact, and since it's computer controlled i can imagine tuners programming it to shift faster just as they do in automatics.
