yes, the shop ron is referring to is www.arfabrication.com

howard, the owner, ended up with a car after a former customer of his went to jail for 3 years. over a weekend they slapped some rods/pistons into it and tuned the car with hondata. a shop down the road made 402whp with a sleeved block...so he kept turning the boost up until he made more power.

i'll see if i can get a dyno sheet from that car...its pretty badass for just having a block guard and a 2 hour tune with hondata.

also...a friend of mine has made 485whp with a sleeved d16. its all about tuning and a big enough turbo...as honda motors will always flow well enough to make big hp numbers.

They are, but with the right tuning and a good condition motor, it is possible to hold 300whp on a stock D-series.

those numbers are pretty stout but still weaksauce.

especially when jan's car did 302whp on 16psi on an unopened, stock cam motor, and pulled an 11.7 out of it on slicks 2 YEARS AGO.

but nevertheless, good luck to him and etc etc.

that's definitely hot for a civic (style-wise that is) and the numbers aren't bad either......not great but definitely not bad.
