Intercooler cleaning
Question, Just received my used intercooler. The one side looks great, the other side looks like.......well, Im sure you know what I mean. What is the best way to clean the intercooler? It would be nice to see the alum. again. Its got paint, road grime ect,ect.

NAPA sells an aluminum cleaner in a spray bottle that I used and it really cleaned it up nicely. There was some road grime and flat black overspray on the core and tanks, and it took it off nicely. Its not show quality but if you polish the tanks it would be very nice.
Gasoline, just cup your hands over the opening. I imagine paint thinner would have the same effect

why would the inside of your cooler be dirty??? Unless you have a bad turbo thats pissing out the oily metallic paste.....
