well it's not an idea... it's just WHY and HOW. alright. I build well attempted to build race motors for a while. I raced with them just local events and kicked ass. but I go to the big national and suck ass. so what I do is I bring it to this engine builder and he dynos it and his motors make 10.7 hp and mine are making 10 and I tried one of his motors and it makes a big difference. I mean I don't know what I am NOT doing that he is doing. I dyno the springs, I put the rings on a break in motor just the get a tighter gap on the rings. I just do'nt know

that is why I needed help

have u tried friction coating your piston skirt and bearing,diff cam grids,u can heat coat the top of your piston and the cc of the head.if i remember right u race go karts.lighter parts will let u rev faster to.thats just some ideas that might help u

thanks what kind of coatings? also I do belive he is getting a custom grind cam. cause I asked him "do you run 04-03 (which is the most aggresive cam you can buy from a catalog) and he said no". soo I dont know...

but how can I find out more about this coating stuff? i'm already running oil that is like freakin kool aid I mean it is really reall thin.

i forgot the names of the shit but do a search on it.its 2 diff things one for heat and one for friction

one thing can you detect those coatings? like can you tell the piston is coated?

yes u can tell they have been coated but if theres nothing in the rule book then your good.
