1. Cars do not come from the factory with wax.
2. I told the dealership I don't want them to touch my car as I prefer my clearcoat without swirls.
3. The claybar removes any surface contaminants. The car had been sitting outside for about a month before I got it, so plenty of surface contaminants were on the paint.

True, you shouldn't wax brand new paint. My car had a finish build date early March. I purchased it late April. The paint had cured long ago and it needed wax to protect the paint. Anyone who doesn't wax a brand new car or have it waxed by the dealership is pretty much neglecting the paint from day 1.

Honestly, if you're going to Econo, your choice is going to pretty much be Black or Black. Which econo are you planning on using? Yes, it matters.

Mastro had mine washed and waxed when I picked it up, but it was covered in swirl marks from day 1. Not too happy about that, but dont have the time to do it myself. You and Craig wanna make a couple bucks and Zaino the shit out of it for me???? *bats eyelashes*

now if it came from a collision shop where it has to be wet sanded , then YES they do wax it . they wetsand and compound it, then hand glaze and wax it ..... this is coming from years of collision repair experience . just my two cents.
