Default Shark car alarm problems..

My integra has a "shark" system in it. It was installed before I owned it and isnt so great..

Well today the remote up and died on me.. I tried switching batteries but that didnt fix it.

I am basically stuck having to open the door w/key, letting it go off forever while I sit inside, and turning on the car a minute later. I am in the process of testing some extra switches under the car to find out which one is the alarm "kill" switch... Think I have to put the keys to on and then hold the button for 2-3 seconds to kill the alarm (valet mode?).

Anyhow this wont do for a more solid solution and I need to see what cheap fixes I can do to just disable the alarm, it basically sucks and didnt keep my stereo from getting stolen 4 months ago so I want it gone. What wires do I clip or what do I do to get rid of it.

BTW If your in orlando and can come look at it, that'd be great..

OK so I got the car in valet mode, apparently it has no time limits / rev limiters and it stays in it permenantly.. So I suppose thats enough of a fix for now..

I also opened the remote and the largest chip inside had a sticker on it with a 6 place alphanumeric code on it. I suppose I just need to order a shark remote then and have them program the code into it... ( I found where I could get replacement remotes, but they had no instructions as to where to find the code.. Guess i got lucky to stumble onto it )

So for my first adventure into car alarms not too shabby. Feel free to make fun of me as you wish
