Default The Lifeline of "the skittle"

How it started...

Yes,the stock look bothered me...i wanted a clean non ricey look with out using a body kit, different rims and such,so i tryed this...

This held me off however, there was still one thing bothering me

And thats how it started to the present look of the Skittle you love to hate ....so has the look progressed for better or worse??

theyre horrid either way but id say youve made a move for the better by making it look less horrid. now only if it were rwd. or do this:

wreck into tree, total it out
collect insurance
buy stratus/avenger (miniviper looking coupe)
drop srt motor into it
much better looking chassis

A Stratus or Avenger do look 3000 times better than a srt-4,and i do agree that the looks arent the best(its a fucking Neon, what do ya expect? )But the car is dying for a drop, then a carbon fiber hood, front lip,and decklid(trunk)...then the exterior is complete its not the best looking vehicle, but im happy from how it "looked" to how it "looks" now

How about eye lids, blackhoused headlights, a lip, a hood without a scoup, debadging. Just some ideas.

i was thinking about eyelids, but i'd rather just smoke the headlights and fog lights, debadging will be done this weekend actually ...hood without a scoop is questionable, but the scoop is actually functional(pushes air on the turbo to keep it cool)

Ah, I figured since it had a FMIC it was just for looks. Damn Dodge for going function/form on me. Since you said you wanted to go with a CF hood, I'm thinking that an Evo style hood would look good and allow air flow to the engine bay, but I don't know if that would fall in the "over the top" category.

And if you want to keep your badges, pull them off, paint them black and use some 3M badge glue, it looks pretty sweet.

the hood scoop cooling the turbo is about as functional as my left nipple (my right nipple actually lactates). NO EYELIDS, that is rice.

i like the painted wheels and i like the look without the spoiler. hate to say it, but that's about as nice as a skittle can look. maybe drop it (for performance) and concentrate on speed. if you want drastically better looks, you'll have to change cars.

On any other car I would agree with you, but on the SRT-4 they actually make the car look 100% better (particularly on the black Skittles).

Other than what you have done, I'd put on a stock rear bumper w/single exhaust. Faux dual exhaust on a 4-banger is retarded, and who knows you may actually pick up a bit of power going to single.

If it were me, I'd rip off all the SRT-4 "unique" body parts and put on panels from the base model Neon or the SXT or whatever.
