I am looking to have my car tuned again and am in need of a Haltech tuner in the Tampa/St.Pete/Clearwater area. Does anyone know of anybody? I am running the Haltech E6k....

I believe Colin at Racing Integration runs the Haltech system in his race car. May want to give him a try.

 

If you ever come over to the orlando area or are willing to travel lmk, I know of a couple haltech tuners.

On a side night why did you decide to go with haltech E6K? I hear everyone with haltech's have been switching over to ams ems and getting good results.

 

The AEM ems is not available for the IS300. Sound Perofrmance is working on getting the AEM running on the IS300 right now but it could be a while. I am runnign the Haltech because about 95% of Turbo IS300 that go standalone are running it and its what Lance @ Toyomoto put in the car when I did the initial turbo kit.

What do you use to monitor knock? I know one of the things alot of the people who run haltech's don't like is that you can't monitor knock with them. Jesus was running the E6K on his 800hp eclipse but they couldn't monitor knock but could tell it was knocking due to it pulling timing and he just didn't like having to find out that way. I think he switched over to the aem ems.

 

Good question. The motor still has a knock sensor and uses it somehow I guess. I'm not totally sure and I'm not sure how the E6K works but I think the whole knock module and capabilities are there, just that the E6K doesn't have a way to monitor it with the way the E6K was made.

 

I'm sure enthalpy locally could help you out with some sort of arrangement. Beats having to travel

 

Yeha I am basically looking to retune on high boost(C16). Tune with methanol(93+meth), and setup low boost as well(93). With switching to the cast manifold after the tubular cracked I need some timming pulled. I think Justin Nenni was throwing more timming at it with the tubular on. Its just a tricky car to tune. So I would be looking for someone who knows the Haltech system VERY well.

Frank @ SFP tunes Haltec and AEm. He is an AEM dealer. I would be really surprised if he couldnt get you an AEM. He has put them in every car i can think of.
