Anyone buying an xB or Element for the purposes of going fast is dillusional. I didn't buy it for performance. I bought it purely for reliable transportation to achieve decent gas mileage while also gaining TONS of utility. Plus I love the xB's styling about as much as I love the boxy styling of my former Foxbodies. No worries though, another Foxbody project car is in the works to appease my need for something a bit more fun to drive.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

I saw a Element a couple weeks ago with a sticker on the back that said "Hummer Lite"

I had to laugh

I love the styling of both. Unlike 99.9% of the cars you see on the road, the styling is actually unique and does not emulate anything the competition has to offer. The Element would have been my preference of the both, but the car payment would have been a bit more than I could chew.

Why does it have to be 'cute'? On average I'm told my car is 'cute' by at least one person everyday. Even a guy standing beside his wife said my car was cute. Why can it not be dashing, appealing, or alluring instead?
