My friend dyed his carpet black in his Jetta and used a kit fron Jo Ann's. First time it rained he gets out of his car, goes in his house, and leaves black footprints all the way to his room. Bottom line, the stuff at Jo Anns washes out but there is a professional kit that you can buy. I do not know the name of it but I can ask my frined cuz thats what he is gonna end up doing. And don't go to DC Custom's to do it either, they will spray paint your carpets, yes I said spray paint, they were suppose to dye them for my Camaro and all I got way a spray painted carpet which was stiff b/c of the paint.

shit yeah ask him if he used the brand "Ritz",or what else eto use..
it can be done.. i wouldnt spray paint it though thats for sure lol
Were you looking to dye the carpet to save some money, or because you haven't been able to find replacement carpet?
I have never seen dyed carpet/fabric last long, particularly in high-wear areas (i.e. the floor). ACC sells great OEM quality carpet for just about every car out there, and it is pretty inexpensive too.
