To answer your question.....the picture you posted was a PHR contest that an artist won...and that was his drawing.

As to the RUMORS? YES, it sounds like GM WILL bring the Camaro back in 2007. Some preliminery drawings were released and said to be "Close to" production style (instead of concept). PHR once again contacted the artist that did the original picture to make a 3-d animated model of what the drawings showed....here is what the 2007 Camaro is expected to look like.

Looks good, I don't see where it looks just like an old Camaro though. It resembles it somewhat like as its suppose to. Erik I'll get you in a domestic one of these days.

I would buy this. In black on black with limo tint, it would look like something Satan himself would be proud to drive. I'm in.

You know I'm into big power, just not big cars. If they can build this thing and get it closer to 3000lbs rather than 4000, I would be all about a SS version. I can almost smell the tire smoke.

How's that beast of yours coming along mang?

My '67 is well under 3000lbs. They're light cars

Of course if it does come back, go ahead and remove the nice wheels, change the bumper, and raise it up about 5 inches to comply with all of the safety crap new cars have to comply with.

The 2005 mustang will tell the story much like the first mustang brought about the camaro. If the mustang does well, expect to see something like this at your local chevy dealer, if it doesn't, there probably won't be a 2007 camaro IMO.
