Am I able to register a car in FL with a salvaged title? If so whats the pros? cons?

Does the car have a FLORIDA COD, REBUILDABLE, REBUILT Title? or is the title an out-of-state salvage title?

if you get a mechanics lein, and have the car done right and proof they will give you a clean title i believe.

 

What would a mechanic's lein have to do with it?

it was just an explanation given to me once, that if the car has mechanics lein, the shop or whatever holding the lein could reinstate the car with a clean title, but like i said, i dont know right off hand.

 

Call DMV to find out exact, if its a Fl car then you might be out of luck depending on how its classified. I can run my dealer tags on anycar I drive but cannot sell a salvaged title car for public use. Becareful on out of state deals, each state is a little different. Remember when some states didnt need to see the car from Fl with a salvage title to apply for their title and then you would reapply for a clean Fl title. But a lot of loopholes are being closed up. goodluck. again call DMV
