Pocket Porting ...
I talked to a couple places looking to get my heads/intake gasket matched and match them to each other, but the guy informed me it wasn't going to be cheap. However, he talked to me about pocket porting the heads and he said that it is a pretty significant increase and he quoted me for $125-$150.
Can someone explain to me or direct me somewhere I can read about this as to what it actually involves? Thanks.

I wouldn't even know where to start honestly if I was to do them myself.

I'm a little confused here, he told you gasket matching would be expensive, but then offered to port them cheaper? Seriously, bring one by and I'll try to point you in the right direction, gasket matching isn't really that big of a deal, you can even do a mild port job yourself. If they were aftermarket heads, I'd say get somebody that's done them before, but you can clean up a set of stock heads pretty easy and save yourself some money.

I might do that, I'm pretty much busy constantly mon-fri during general business hours, but weekends I'm usually free if you got your shop open then.
