Since you poked fun at Honda's, it is now my turn to poke fun at you.... Ok, no offense, but your car is slow.... Reving it that high will only make it slower, for the simple fact that your cams will NOT make power that high.... Stick to the stock revs, and youll be fine... I guarantee you if you were to dyno your car to see where the torque starts to fall off then take that number and set it as your shift point, you would succesfully stay in your torque band longer and get significantly better times... Why rev to 10k just cuz you can, while your car is falling on its face around 7k and you are wasting precious fractions of seconds... just food for thought

By the way, the highest I have taken my motor is to its 7400 rpm rev limiter where it falls on its face, and i normally shift at 6800-7000 because thats about where my powerband starts to drop with these cams.....

Maybe around 7000. Anybody with a tiptronic tranny will know how fucking annoying it is when you think you are in tip mode, but you forgot you went out of it because its broken and it sucks, and your at a light, then push it up to neutral. Then put it on D again as it is that high and feel the damn car shake...btw if anybody is interested in buying it, ^ none of that ever happened

Well then theres Andy's car I rode in once, 1JZ Supra, 7250, but that doesnt count because it wasnt me.

Don't take is the wrong way, you should stick with your Honduh knowledge and leave the Nissan community be. If you knew anything about what engine I was referring to you wouldn't be jumping down my throat. Nissan has a Variable Valve Lifting system also, which was introduced in Japan shortly after the NSX saw it's first V-tech engine. With more aggressive cams and some springs, I will see 10K revs that ARE useful.

btw, my redline starts at 7500 and there's maybe a few horsepower that falls off after7200, hardly a difference.

Even if you could it wouldnt be smart to do it. With our long-ass stroke youd probably snap a rod in no time, unless you built the engine or de-stroked it. Just for reference, the Speed World Challenge Spec V only revs to 7K with internals.

Oh and to answer the original question, I bounced off the rev limiter at 6400 spinning the tires, once. Yes I can spin the tires in my auto.....in the rain.....with the ebrake up.
