struts and springs

Default struts and springs

i am going to change out strutrs on my car. do i need to have a shop compress the spring or can i just put it back with out compresting the spring. is there any way that i can compres the springmyself and know that i did it right.

rent the tool at autozone its free. just need a deposit

do i need to know the spring rate. or just till i think it is goof for the ride.

fastest way is to get two boxes in the corner of your grage, point both ends of the spirng and shock into the boxes unlossen the top bolt and let all the washers, bolts nut and spring fly into the boxes. so u dont loos em. i did it took me 40 mon install.
