::raises hand:: I unfortunatelly DO live with mommy and daddy, but they don't care if I bring my woman over because my room is in the back part of the house and it doesn't bother them....although buying like a house/apartment is not a bad way to go...but I first have to get myself through school before I think about buying a house. Thanks for all the input...and keep them opinions going

then why dont you pay for your schooling with that 15k? if its paid for, save it and use it when your ready to move out.. no sence wasting 15k on somthing that will be worth nothing in a few years

I definately get your point,

I live at home still. Way easier to goto college and afford to do things when you don't have to pay for your own place.

Within a few months I'll be moving out with a roommate though. As of right now in my life with even a $15,000 down payment on a house I still wouldn't be close to even afford it with only a few hundred dollars a week. Buying and owning a car is still a good investment if I plan on keeping it for a while.

Buy a house or condo or something, get you some value.. Id rather drive a $2000 a to b vehicle, and then park it in the driveway of my house.

Not everyone is set up financially to afford a house or apartment, with 15k or not. That may not be a plausible option. Not everyone can just drop 15k and buy a house.

If he was interested in buying a house I think he would have went to www.tampahomeowners.com instead of tamparacing.com, don't cha think?
