Default Which Compressor?

Posting for SLOWY

What size/hp compressor and tank would be the best for home use. i know nothing about compressors, so i need to know what the best size would be. i've heard that small tanks with low hp compressors wouldnt be enough power, but what would be the smallest size/hp i could use? Thanks in advance

if you do'nt want a loud one don't get an oil free one. they are very loud. I got a 6 hp 33 gal one and works fine

If someone is just going to infrequently use power tools and blow stuff off sometimes even a nitrogen or CO2 tank with a regulator/warmer is more practical.

If you need some compressed air on the side of the road its a lot more portable too.

if your doing alot of work, get a 15gal....it will go longer between the motor kicking on...i tried using a 5gal with an impact and it was on like every minute or two. the one at the shop is 15hp( i believe) and 80gal and is LOUD when it starts to compress.
