Well I blew up 3 T5 clusters in a two month period. From there on out I hate T5's. ''next'' They handle alright if thats all you drive or spend alot of money back there. But if your used to a well handling car there not so great and quite dangerous if your not used to it. Im talking about a foxbody.

Can we drop this whole ford vs anything else because it will never end. I stated my veiws and im not talking any shit aboout anyone cars just what I have owned and if you think mine was a pos heres a pic.

How much power were you putting down to keep breaking t5's?

I've got multiple 1.8 60ft's and countless powershifts under my belt with absolutely zero problems. A short throw shifter with shift stops and 3.73's out back definately help prevent a t5 grenade from going off underneath you.

 

YOU ARE LUCKY!! I not only blew up a few of my own, I had a friend that had never run at the track before, he wanted me to make the first pass, and show him how to do everything. As we were backing into the water box, I asked him if he wanted me to be easy on it, he's like "hell no, I want to see what this thing will do!" So I launch, 1-2 perfect, 2-3 perfect BOOM!!! "What the hell was that?" "Uh, I think your tranny just blew up" I felt so bad we went back to my house and I pulled out my world class I had just put in my car, sold it to him cheap, and put a C-4 in mine. Couple of months later, another friend has his LX with a paxton and exhaust at the track for the first time on slicks, "Hey Bill, you wanna make a pass?" His fastest time of the night was 8.4 (he was launching like shit) I go out and go a 7.9 on my first pass. A little while later a friend's girlfriend wants to go for a ride in his car, who gets nominated? I do a burnout, she's white knuckled holding the door handle, each yellow bulb, the RPMs went up a little, last bulb, dump the clutch, front end starts going up (probably would have pulled a wheel) BOOM!!!! Car crashes back down. Thought it was another tranny, but as we are pushing it back, the drivers side wheel starts coming out whew, it's only an axle (shattered it into like 20 pieces) Funniest part, she's like, "what the hell just happened?!?" all I said was, "car broke." As we're pushing it back, one of the guys at the line is like "what do you think it is" "I dunno, it's not mine" he just looked at me with this blank look on his face. Anyway, the point of this run on is Vince, can I make a pass in your car tomorrow? Pretty please?

I slip the clutch from the line a little to take it somewhat easy on it, I only power shift 2-3 .. I don't feel comfortable powershifting 1-2 for some reason. I'll be on slicks with hotchkis control arms this time.

 

300-350? The first tranny blew up while power shifting 2-3 BOOM And the other two were while driving normal going from 1-3. shifting at 2k while driving in traffic. I dont know why they did that.

and do you really think that's my only car. its just my driver. its fast enough to beat most mustangs. and its a running joke about it being stock cause i do beat way to many cars that are alot faster than it is. like damn.. you just got beat by a car with a paper air filter...lol


and NCboost is not the one with the fast car... i am. the comment about typical mustang owner still holds up. if you saw the shit i see at work. from you ford guys. you wouldn't believe it. if that's not you then don't worry about it. just like the big wings and import crap. its typical import shit. if you own a import and don't like that shit then don't worry about it. but you will always be judged by what the majority does.

yes i street race. no its not very often anymore but it does still happen. when called out and there's a good reason. no its not where anyone not involved will get hurt but yes shit can happened. the track sucks i really don't like going. ever really try to setup a race where you get 2 heads up on a light at the track. its just not the place for it. yes it can be done and at some point the cars are fast enough to really only be safe at the track. even then the 10.5 tire cars pushing the limits. but anyways you can't even put in a rear main seal right. that by its self is enough that you shouldn't be talking shit to anyone on this site.

you street raced back in the day. so now your all high and mighty about not doing it. i call bs.... there's a time and place where you would do it again. its just in the middle of nowhere and there would be no posts about it in the kill stories section.

there all still some big money racing in this state but you have to know where and when. there all set up by phone. there in,get it done and there out.
