We had some Lingenfelter chevy big block heads come through the shop last week. I wasn't impressed by their product.

Well personally I really dislike the new vipers. The old GTS models are the best looking viper made IMO followed by the RT10s since I hate the lines of the new ones.
Now as far as performance and such goes I can put in my own personal experience since my step father bought a brand new 04 back in November. There is nothing the same about these new ones when compared to the old ones. Even the motors are different. The new viper has much better brakes and handles well. When it comes to the motor I would have to say the motors in the 2nd gens were much better since they actually had some low end power. Granted these new motors have a few improvements such as much better flowing heads and a big topend but the low end is non existant. If you check the viper forums in the SRT10 section you will see owners referring to "the bog" which is exactly what the car does.
Overall the only things that I can say are good about the car IMO are that its pretty fast, excellent brakes, and good handling. It gets rather uncomfortable driving due to the side exhaust causing the cabin to become hot even with the a/c on and top up. With the top up it is impossible to see to either side as it just causes a huge blindspot on each side and it is also very annoying that the car jumps from side to side when going down the road. The shifter is at an angle which is horrible cause it likes to take a 3-4th shift and turn it into a 3rd - 2nd shift which is not a good thing. Anyway I'm done but keep in mind this is MY opinion on the NEW vipers.

Twisted, there was a TSB on the bogging problem for 03. While it doesn't cover 04 that doesn't mean it couldn't be necessary. All they do is reflash the computer. Takes about 20 minutes. A 500hp, 500 tq motor shouldn't be bogging.

You should have seen them. They had rough and standard size ports that still had big casting seams in all of them. The only thing they had going for them was that they were aluminum.

After looking at their product I would just choose a set of dart heads and avoid paying the extra money they charge for engraving their name on the ends of the heads. I can't even imagine why someone purchased an unprepped set of heads from them unless like many other people they think that by having the name 'Lingenfelter' on them that somehow makes them better.
