IC sprayer
Yes sir!
The small ass intercooler that mazda gave us is teh suck at doing it's job!
Since, i will be keeping this intercooler a little longer then i expected i might as well throw some thing on there to keep the temp's down.this shouldn't cost me more then $40 buck's.the only gain's i might see is getting back the power that i'm losing by having a heat soaked IC which will not be that much.

IMHO, I don't think the FMIC gets hot enough to really utilize the cooling effects of spraying water on it. I'd rather have a co2 sprayer for the FMIC.
The sprayer on my Evo doesn't come on when it's on "auto" unless the temp reaches a certain temp, but it never does though.
In "manual" mode I don't notice a difference either.
Good luck!

Yeah but you have a large intercooler that is mounted in the front of the car. the IC in my car is mounted on the side of my radiator and, it is very small so it get's heat soaked very quickly.
why not just make an alky mister?
wire it to a WOT switch, go find a go 40psi shurflo pump, steel braided lines, and heavy duty, but small, mister nozzle and some alcohol from home depot...cool the intake charge, and increase the octane to about 95-100

If the sprayer will be lower than the tank, get an aquarium one-way valve to keep the tank from siphoning itself dry. They have them in the aquarium section at Walmart. They also have line and tees in the garden section.
