I just finished watching Gone in 60 Seconds, because it was of course on TBS and I thought about it, the only GT 500 I've seen in person was at a Ford dealership. Have you by chance seen one of these on the street? I love that fastback.

 

There was one at the auto show at the convention center a couple of years ago, they are nice cars though.

 

yeah - I've seen them around at shows. There was a replica of that car on ebay not long ago and it didn't get too expensive....

I've seen Eleanor in person. It's on display at a movie car museum in Gatlinburg, TN. Never seen one on the street as clean as that one though.

Its a hot car, I love the fastback. We have a '65 mustang 289, but its not a fastback, and of course not the GT500. But I still like it. I'd kill for that GT500 though.

 

the actual GT500 is really hard to find, really valuable too if you do get your hands on one.

i found a mint condition one once selling for $80,000. and it only had like 12,000 ticks on the clock
