I don't think you can really compare the two, but owning a subie i do see how he can be so happy with the value. I can't think of any other car that for 25k will give you rally car handling, all weather capability, 4 doors, low 13 sec timeslips, 5-star crash test marks, a descent sized trunk, and last you the whole life of the car (buying it new). Everyone has certain things they look for when buying a car and if the above is what you are looking for than by all means take her for a test drive. I like it cause i feel like when i get out of college and start a family i wont' have to get rid of my baby.

 

i agree with the value of a great car. and i would love to have one as well, but like you said there is no comparison. this guy was trying to claim the subie would out accelerate it stock for stock and this is just dumb.

 

True, but that's never been high on my criteria when buying a car, see sig and Boostdshadow can tell you how many bitches my old mustang pulled As far as the original post, I think the similarities between the two are they are both cars, and they are both foreign, that's about it

 

It's not the ONLY reason i'd buy a car, but it can't hurt. PLUS, coupe > sedan, IMO.

first of all i was wrong when i said my subaru could keep up with it through 2nd gear...

but it doesnt matter because my dad just got a 04 911 twin turbo today....its sick...fastest car ive ridden in...may not have the fastest 1/4 time out there...but the top end speed is amazing...it just keeps pullin...ill try to get some pics up
