does anyone know where i can get one for cheap? I have called 6 places and only one place said that they could do it for $172.76, i didn't even pay that much for my demo derby car. So dose anyone know where i can get a lexan windshield for my car?
i need one by sat at the latest.

 

Why do you need a lexan windshield?

 

That price doesn't sound too bad to me. I haven't researched it much, but that seems pretty cheap.

i cracked my windshield during the wet&wild (probable when i was using the wall to stop a spin out)and the rules say that i cannot use a cracked one. unless they are ok with a crack, it goes from the passenger side corner to about 10" in, it is a straight line_____________ down

 

Well considering I've been in 5 demo derby's and 5 wet & wild races, and helped him weld up the doors on this current car, I felt rather comfortable in asking my question

Nick, if it's only a crack, and doesn't even go all the way through, I don't see why they would say anything, I think they are looking more for shattered windshields that may get glass on the track or block your vision.

you cannot really see it if youre staight ahead but i dont think it goes all the way through. I am probably going to get a little spray paint mist on the windshield "accidentally" so you cannot see it at all

 

Don't worry about it then, there's no reason to spend that kind of money on a windshield for a car with a 5 minute life expectancy
