im down for it.

ive been told by a lot of machine shops that there isnt a flow bench close to this area.

i want to see you guys make a piston or even just a pulley on the lathe. would also like to see what you guys have for cleaning like cold tanking and what not, plus prices on baskets. the machinist go to charges $20 a basket. can you guys weld heads and such.

just going to stop with the questions now cause i have so many.

I have passed along the info to management about the number of people interested on this board.

As soon as I hear when they have it planned I will post the info here on TR.

Thanks all.

off topic but

a kid with a 6cyl VW of some kind dropped off a set of pistons hung on rods for the owner of the shop, i work at. to look at. i didn't get to hear what the customer had to say. just saw the box of pistons and heard that the motor was built at engine lab. (they were JE's) i was just wondering if you had any info on them.

just wondering cause jerry that builds all the fast DSM's was saying something about JE giving a lot of people the wrong specs. they were telling people to run .004 piston clearance and they needed more like .006. these looked like the same thing and i have a friend building a focus with JE's and they want him to run .004.

just sounds like he may run into the same thing. if he follows there intrusions.

there seems to be a pattern here

That idea is great! I would love to watch and learn how those activities are done on various cars. Shit...or even partaking in some of the work would be nice for learning purposes. And seeing what the shop has been able to produce would be impressive as well. Count me in!
