Now i've seen a BPT powered festiva's before so this is not a crazy idea! would it be a sleeper yes! would i ever make one and drive it no!

Dude i can only really tell you a few thing's to help you with your project.

1.Never ever listen to your friend's or anybody else for that matter about, what to do with your "project" do ALOT of reading your self and find out what work's best for what you what to do with your car before, you start buying/building anything READ trust me it will help ya.

2.The best swap that i can think of for the festiva would be a Mazda 323 gtx/gtr engine as posted in the link above.

3.Take your time and do EVERYTHING right so you will avoid costly error's down the road.

4.Stop listening to the guy that has given you all the infomation that you posted please. it really sound's like he has no idea what the hell he's talking about.

i say get the sho motor ,but that most likly would cost a arm and a leg but a 4 banger with a turbo is a good mix plus the mazda most likly would be cheaper,
