Alright, I'm looking to replace my current Accord with something a little better. I have narrowed my choices down to doing an S14 with an SR20 in it blah, blah, blah. I plan on doing an FMIC, boost cont., BOV, int/exh., ect nad a set of coilovers and brakes. The only problem with this is the money. I will buy the car, then use the money that I sold the Accord for to keep my bank account from hitting zero. It will then take me about 2 months to save up for the swap. Basically, this will be a slow buildup over a year or so. The other option is to buy a MKIII (preferebly 89-91) Supra turbo. I drove an 87' auto today, and wasn;t overly excited about the stock performance, but I like how well the car responds to mods. If I plan on doing this, I will do an int/exh, boost cont., BOV, and a few other minor things and some brakes and suspension. The good part about this is that it will be cheaper than the S14, but I am concerned with the age of the car. I really don't want to go through the misc. interior parts breaking, squeaks, rattles, etc. I really like both cars, and they're not really that similar, but I need some advice for this. The one thing that I really need to stress is reliability as this will be my college car. Thanks.

I dunno, I'd say to go the nissan route.. the 7mgte can make reliable power for sure, and I know the headgasket problem can be averted, but in general its just an older car, and will come up with more problems than an s14

Stock is kind of unexciting.. Its a big fat car. Stock I went 15.2 at 91 mph 2.2 60' .. with just a bit of boost (10 psi dropping off to 7 at 5.5k) went 14.3 at 95 2.0... Headgasket is a problem.. mhg fixes that. Only squeeks and what not i have is when i have the top off.. very solid car imo. reminds me of a lexus inside
