Question Opinions About Engine Lab of Tampa ?

Anyone have any opinions about the place?

I got a chance to look around their place in detail today and they look like a pretty top notch machine shop.

Anyone here ever deal with them before?

I had my block acid dipped there a while back. They gave me a small tour of the facility and like you said it looked top notch.

Yeah I heard nothing but good, but....I know of one bad case. A friend with a tt 3000gt brought his car in and they put a new motor in, it has valve train noise and smokes a tad. BUT thats the only time I have heard something bad.

First off, ALOT of 3000GT VR-4's and Stealth RT TT had valvetrain noise, even though there was nothing wrong. There's even recalls for that. Secondly, maybe the smoke comes from the turbos...

They are doing a small job for me right now. And as everyone said...top notch facilty. I lil pricey on some services...but if those services are done correctly....i dont mind the premium.

Ill be there tommorrow to drop off a few more parts.

Oh....and thats one of the first machine shops that had an actual "clean room". And man was it spotless.
I have seen the so called "clean rooms" at some other shops.....what a joke
