You've already wasted enough money to pay for 2.5 hours at the dealer with someone that will probably figure it out in 15 minutes, I'm confused Mom and pop shops are great for oil changes and brake jobs, but you've obviously got a little more complex problem in a 99 Cadillac

you don't have to go to the dealer

you can always go to shops that are certified in fixing certain cars

You don't have to waste $230 dollars on an oil change tech shaking your ride height sensor, either I think it's pretty obvious what is wrong just from what I've read. Just go get a new sensor and put it in. I just don't understand the I have a 99 Cadillac, but I want some shadetree hack to work on it mentality. Go somewhere where they know what the hell they are doing, if you can't find a shop that will stand behind their work, go to the dealer, but right now he's pissing away money in the name of saving money which makes absolutely no sense.

Well it is not like i took it to some hole in the wall the first shop i went to was Computune in pinellas park, then i took it to Goodyear in largo..... i would never trust my car to a hole in the wall shop. The problem will be fixed this weekend i am just gonna take it to caddy, That way i know it is done for good.
Thanks for all yall's input.

I agree that the places you listed aren't exactly hole in the wall shops, but when you say Goodyear, I think tires, not diagnose 99 Cadillac ride control problem. I'm glad you'll be getting it fixed right, and it sucks that you had to waste some money first, but sometimes it ends up being cheaper to just go to the professional the first time, that's all I meant. Good luck, and hurry up, that thing looks like a freakin' 4 x 4 Put a couple of bodies in the trunk, that should get it where you need it

Also, if you're talking about goodyear on eastbay, my advice for everyone in here is to stay away from that place, I took a 93 Cadillac Seville there, told them it needed an end link, they called me and said it would be $180 for the part and $125 to put it in, I can buy an end link from Carquest for around $40, and it take probably 15 minutes to put in, I just didn't have the time, I told them to forget it. I went to pick the car up and they wanted to charge me $50 for an hours labor to diagnose the car!! I told them what was wrong when I took it in, I have a friend that works there, and I am a dealer that at the time was using them for all my repairs and simple oil changes because I had a friend there, needless to say, I don't go there any more. I hope it was worth it to them, it was funny, because they had another car out on the lift to work on for me, I told the manager to get it the fuck down and have it outside when I got back to pick it up, everyone in the waiting area was looking over and laughing as I walked out, the manager didn't know what to say
