Default Financing a 1994 Q45...

Basically I stumbled upon a MINT condition one with 122K on it...

I think I can talk the guy down to 6500, and basically I have several possibilities.

He likes my 240, I could trade for 3K and give him 3500 (need a loan most likely.

I could sell my 240 elsewhere for the 3 K ( and still need a3500 or so loan)

I may haev to finance the whole thing and sell my 240 later in order to get this car before it dissapears...

Any advice? this car is basically SPOTLESS...

KBB is 4320 but I somehow doubt that its right.. i couldnt ask the guy to go from 7500 to 4350..

Nada average retail is 5900-6000, a private owner should be a little less I would think. It's your call, but I would think you could find a cheaper one. The loan value is going to be low, so you probably won't be able to finance the whole thing.

Q45t?

financing is a pain on that old of a car. Probably would try with a credit union, as the big banks are gonna rip you. Best bet is a signature loan though.

Got pics?

Thanks for the info... by signature loan i'm understanding thats an agreement between me and the seller? a contract of sorts?

as for the pics.. not until the car is in my driveway.. I dont want anyone else buying it before I do

I don't think anybody here is currently looking @ a Q45......do you ?

a signature loan is a loan that has no collateral, just your signature. For an amount arounf $3k, this is what most banks suggest. It would probably max out @ 24 months.

Good luck financing an older car. I tried financing the SVO which was bluebooked at around $6k, and I needed $5k. The assclown at the credit union tried to tell me it was worth $500.
