Question Algae in coolant?!?!?

In the overflow tank there's some brown gooey crap that clings to the wall of the tank, at first I shit a brick thinking it might be a bad gasket leaking oil in the cooling system but it seems more like a an algea now. Anyone ever seen this shit before? How do you get rid of it? Or maybe I'm still in denial, I hate working on an import!

Did you mix the green and red coolant together?

When I bought the car it had absolutely no coolant in the overflow but there was red residue in there. I put in the green shit. Didn't know that by mixing the two you can create new life forms.

Well ... when I didn't know any better I mixed green in with red and it created a brown sludge, I had to flush it.
