Obviously, weight transfer has an overall effect on handling: more weight on a tire means more grip. So, if the CG is located further towards the rear, his corolla will have a lot of rear traction, which is nice to have if acceleration is important. If the CG is located further towards the front, his corolla will have a lot of steering, but it might lack rear traction, which increases the risk of spinning out. This is the same for lateral weight distribution in LTO except it works left to right. So the CG is very important because it determines the cars roll characteristics and weight transfer.
taking it that you have a corolla what ae86 all you are going to be using that for is drifting I take it.... soo you want the CG located in the front
and whoever said don't take out the soud proof shit I don't really think it matters because you can always put it on scaled like you said and just use lead weights to get exact percentages

dry ice is very helpful for removing the sound proofing stuff under the carpets which believe it or not is quite heavy
seeing as how there is some under the dash along shifter hill and under back seat not including trunk there is alot
in my grand marquis there was around 85 pounds worth of this sound proofing shit and seeing as how my new 86 corolla is going to be basically a track only car all weight that doesnt need to be there must be lost
so before you people continue to make stupid ass remarks and the people that actually know about sanctioned racing start making fun of you
