I comprehend a power adder is something that simple just gives you power. So it can be from A-Z pretty much. Any modification that gives power. Of course drilled and slotted rotors and etc would be an upgraded modification. That's just what I think it means.. and it only makes sense.

A performance cam for a car would be a performance adder. How wouldn't it be. It replaces the stock part with something that gives it more power right? A performance exhaust would free air up therefore more power. A stock exhaust would be OEM replacement I guess, if thats what you want to call it. Power Adder classes? I cannot answer that one. Not sure. This debate is .. lol.. kinda can go both ways. I am only speaking of the way it makes sense to me though.

whoa. i was under the impression that a car is either naturally aspirated, or uses forced induction... is that incorrect? and if it is correct, then where does a n/a engine + nitrous fall? i (again, maybe mistakenly) thought that would be f.i. no?

note: my questions in no way pertain to "power adders," sorry to steer the thread off-track, i'm just a bit confused.

this has been argued many many times.

Turbo and Supercharger = forced induction

Nitrous= power adder. That is all she wrote.

We can get tech and say that ahh my cold air intake is a power adder or my underdrive pulleys are capable of making the engine work a little less and therefore maybe pick up power which would be adding it if it did actually pick that power up but come on fuck all that.

power adder= nitrous...

Okay so yeah..Changing the stock amount of lift with a cam is something I would consider a power adder, but that's just me.
