check for a flat spot on your wheels also. when the pressure doprs a little the wheel will shake, but won't hardly be noticeable when moving quickly. an easy way to see if out of round is to check for excessive balance weights on the rim.
or let most the air out of the tire and drive for a couple hundred feet (make sure to refill tire)

She said it only happens when she hits the brakes though. If there was a flat spot she would feel it at all low speeds even while she's going slow while accelerating. My guess is like everyone else's, warped rotor(s), which is common.

Good suggestion though.

just take your steering wheel off.... then it wont be able to shake anymore.

i wouldn't be suggesting to someone that can't deduce the problem being her brakes, to then go and remove the calipers and rotors herself. (not an insult to elrig, just a serious concern where stopping a car is usually nothing you want to mess with). take it to a mechanic that someone you know has recommended and be happy with paying a little bit of cash for a safe commute.

For those of you who are pming me calling me a dumbass, please re-read my thread. Mike already told me it was my brakes i knew that I was wondering if i could fix them myself. And if so for some direction. I know now i cant through the various post that were made. Thank you those who helped, the others please stop PMing me
