Z06 more collectible than an NSX!? Please. I see multiple Z06's driving around daily, I rarely see NSX's. I believe the collectibility is in the production numbers.

 

The reason there isn't high production numbers and you don't see many nsx' is because they cost so much for what you get it isn't worth a damn thing, there's no demand. What makes you think 15-20 years from now that nsx will be worth anywhere near what it costed new?

You don't see them because no one wants to get butt raped on a price just to say their car is collectable with no other performance characteristics of the car to stand out in a crowd.

Overpriced and under achieving... that makes it collectable?

That might be true but they need to think about bringing the price down a little bit so poor people like us can purchase them.

 

Personally, I really like the look of the nsx and the performance is worthy of about a 50k price tag imho.

 

the NSX was an absolute marvel when it was released back in what? 93 i think. its performance since has not really been matching to its price tag. i still love them, but would never buy one even if i had the money. rumors were possibility of a 300hp 6 or 8 mated to a 100hp electric motor for the next generation. the current 04 versions restyling was mostly for imporvments of air flow, and reduced the cd enough that with the same powertrain of the 03, its tops speed increased like 11 or 12 mph

 

Have you guys ever seen an NSX at sebring? Stock for stock around that track even a Viper(with a GREAT driver) was not able to get around it....

hp isn't everything. While it is slighty overpriced it is a collector type and it handles like a mofo!
